Bon Jour Cadre 25,
This is my first venture into the world of blogging. I like to share on Twitter and Facebook, but I have always thought that sharing in a blog would be a daunting task as it seems much more formal. I also feel with the other two social media outlets I communicate enough with everyone, how much do people want to hear from me or know about me. I have several friends who are bloggers and I enjoy most of their blogs. I can now definitely see the value of blogging in a professional setting where you want to share and comment on issues in a longer, more organized and well thought out format. Blogging is a great way to share ideas and to get feedback and input. If I were to use a blog in the classroom, I think that I would use Blogger as it is widely used and it is very user friendly. I did not like Live Journal, because you can post as an anonymous source. I think that while this might let people share controversial ideas that they might not otherwise share, I think that it is dangerous and could make users feel like they could bully or belittle others without any recourse. I think it is important to teach students that they have to own their ideas and their comments.
